Domaine Berthelemot cultivates 7.8 ha in the Côte de Beaune winegrowing district.

Located between Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, the Puligny-Montrachet area covers 205 ha and is renowned for some of the most prestigious Burgundy premier and grand cru wines.

 

Appellation: Puligny-Montrachet 1er cru white wine.

-History : in the middle ages, « garenne » meant a wooded hunting area belonging to a local landowner or monastery

-Graft : chardonnay, visual selection and clone

-Vinestock:3309 C

-Soil: thin, stony top soil on a layer of limestone rock

 

-Taste: the location of this plot gives the wine its intensity and mineral notes together with aromas of white flowers and almonds; it is well structured, smooth and fresh and can benefit by laying down for a few years.

 

-Serving temperature: 12/14°C and recent vintages may be decantered to enhance the aroma.
